• Heads the Centre for Pattern Recognition at PESIT Bangalore South Campus

• Collaborates with practitioners in the industry and hospitals on various projects that help give students an exposure to real-world problems in the areas of Pattern Recognition, Biomedical Image Processing and Data Analytics

• Teaches courses related to the areas of Pattern Recognition, Data Mining and Image Processing as a part of the curriculum as well as teaches/ organizes workshops outside of the curriculum to increase students’ exposure to these

• Works with students interested in research and councils students interested in pursuing (technical) degrees of higher learning in India and abroad

• Served as the Convenor and Publications Chair for IEEE International Conference on IMPact of E-Technology on US (IMPETUS) 2014

• Served as an associate member of the Technical Committee of the IEEE Bioimaging and Signal Processing Society (BISP) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) from Jan 2009 – Dec. 2013 and was elected to serve as a Member of the TC of the IEEE BISP for the term Jan 2014 – Dec 2016
